The main idea was to create a lightweight, medium-sized reconnaissance MRAP for a crew of four to five soldiers. The level of sci-fi was kept moderate β something near-future. Ideally, itβs a vehicle that could plausibly exist in reality, something close to contemporary designs. The core proportions were taken from the Oshkosh M-ATV+HMMWV, and the RWS (Remote Weapon Station) was designed as a blend of geometry and functionality from the PROTECTOR, GLADIUS, and 32V01 systems.
I created this 3D model based on my own concept, which in turn was developed from a dozen Midjourney renders. During the idea generation phase, the core concept was the symbiosis of man and machine π. All hard surface modeling was done in 3ds Max, while the organic elements were sculpted in ZBrush. Texturing was done entirely in Substance Painter. UV mapping was done in 3ds Max, and ambient occlusion was baked in Marmoset. In the final stage, everything was tested in Unreal Engine 5.
